iCONa lab
offers a service of analysis of isotopic ratios of carbon (δ¹³C), oxygen (δ¹⁸O) and nitrogen (δ¹⁵N), of carbon and nitrogen concentrations, on different types of samples. Furthermore, radiocarbon datings are carried out (in collaboration with LABEC-INFN Florence) and strontium isotope ratios measurements (in collaboration with TRACE Research Center).

Furthermore, at the laboratory it is possible to carry out the chemical / physical preparation of the samples, which precedes the isotopic measurement, specific for the type of analysis required:
- Extraction of organic (collagen) and inorganic (hydroxyapatite) part of the bones
- Extraction of the organic part (dentin) and inorganic part (enamel) of the teeth
- Cellulose extraction from wood
- Extraction of NSC (unstructured sugars) from plant material
- Lignin extraction from the wood
- Casein extraction from dairy products
- Preparation of samples for AMS analysis
- Vegetable components drying and / or grinding
